Pastor Dr Kemi Atanda Ilori is the founding General Overseer of Living Hope Church Kemi Ilori Ministries.

He studied at the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife), where he graduated in Dramatic Arts in 1982 and obtained a Master’s degree in Literature in 1985. He lectured at the University from 1983 to 1990 and his early poems were published in Sokoti, Ijala and ISALA at the University. Moreover, the University published his poems, Voices of the Hurricane in 1983. The Association of Nigerian Authors published his Amnesty in 1988. Ilori has published several essays on Nigerian drama and theatre. His books include Wole Soyinka and Other Poems (2014), The Theatre of Wole Soyinka (2017), The Theatre of Ola Rotimi (2017), Chinua Achebe and Other Poems (2017), Enjoying God’s Promises (2020), The Wicked Witch and Other Accomplices – Poems (2020) and The Theatre of J.P. Clark (2020).

Dr Ilori is also an alumnus of the University of Bradford and the University of Leeds, with a doctorate degree in Housing (2012) and another in Performance and Cultural Industries (2016), respectively. Ilori also obtained a Master’s degree in Housing (1998) from Sheffield Hallam University, Sheffield. Dr Ilori was the Director of Housing at Manningham Housing Association, Bradford, UK from 2001 to 2011. He is, currently, the Publisher-in-Chief at Universal Books UK.

The international headquarters of Living Hope Church are currently located in Leeds, United Kingdom, with branches in Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Uganda and Zimbabwe. As the General Overseer, Pastor Kemi is responsible for business envisioning and strategic oversight. He is gifted in mentoring believers to take their rightful position in the body of the Lord through faith in His name. His teachings inspire believers to trust God for exceptional breakthroughs and to maintain a close relationship with Him no matter what comes their way.
